Why install an air source heat pump in Bournemouth?

The town centre and seafront postcodes are dominated by apartments, with 2021 Census figures putting BH2 at over 90% flats and BH1 not far behind. Ground-floor flats with private outside space are often workable. Upper-floor apartments in a seafront block frequently are not, and no grant changes that.

Then there is the sea itself. Salt-laden air corrodes the aluminium fin coil and steel casing of an outdoor unit, and manufacturers classify homes within roughly a kilometre of the coast as a marine environment. An uncoated coil in that setting can lose meaningful efficiency inside five to eight years.
